With physical/social distancing being the new norm for the known future, we are continuing with a hybrid approach that allows anyone concerned about exposure to continue doing what they love.

Here at Westdale Pilates we place an emphasis on education and exercise programming that is tailored to your needs. In addition, our philosophy is that the more you understand your body, the more empowered you are to take control of your health. As a result of our approach, we felt confident that virtual Pilates privates and group sessions would benefit our clients.

It’s natural to be uncertain when you first begin an activity, but within our first few weeks of engaging in virtual sessions we realized that the outcome was as positive as our in-studio sessions. Clients have told us that they were engaged and found it motivating to work out together when travelling to the studio was not possible

As we look forward to returning to in-studio classes, we will follow the government’s guidelines closely. However, going forward, the success of the virtual Pilates sessions has encouraged us to offer a hybrid of in-studio and at-home sessions. If you have any questions or concerns about this hybrid class model, or even how to get started, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions.

The Therapeutic Session follows a clinical approach to Pilates and focuses on teaching the correct bio mechanics of movement.

A Pilates customised program for each individual client, that focuses on strengthening the core and back, improving posture, optimize joint stability, and correcting muscular imbalances  - can help you alleviate your pain, regain motion, speed up your recovery, and build the strength that helps you prevent re-injury. With a focus on strengthening the body from the inside out, rehabilitative Pilates can help with all types of injuries, including low back, spinal conditions, sports injuries, osteoporosis, and scoliosis.

Working one-on-one with an instructor is the smartest and fastest way to achieve your Pilates and health goals, whether you are looking to rehabilitate an injury or just want to increase your fitness and strength.

In our Private and Semi-Private sessions the attention to detail and the hands-on-approach is unlike any group setting.

Pilates mat work is designed to target the core, increasing your abdominal strength and stability and the larger equipment Reformer, Cadillac and Chair with their pulleys and springs create resistance to sculpt long, lean arms and legs while simultaneously challenging core stability.

Combining Mat, Reformer, Cadillac and Chair will leave your entire body feeling stronger!

You will work hard. You will sweat. Hopefully you will laugh, because moving with us should be fun!
